The culinary area, situated directly on the festival ground, is easy to find. Right after the entrance, on the left hand side of the festival tent.
Hard decisions have to be made in front of the food-voucher-cash desks. There is a vast variety of dishes on the menue. All time favorites are the "Dollar Chips". Along with standards such as "Schnitzel" or "Cordon Bleu", made of pork or turkey, you'll find specialities such as "Lentils with Bacon" or the "Gypsy Spike" (tasty grilled meat on a spike). Another best seller is the "Wiesen Pizza", freshly made and baked in a genuine pizza oven, fired with wood.
On the 1st floor of the foodhall there is a Café, a Cocktail Bar, a Vinothek or an Internet Café. This is a matter of change, however, depending on the type of festival going on.
"Hippa" is in charge of the dessert, serving freshly made sweet dishes and cakes.
At the Milk Bar you will find a variety of dairy products and a good selection of different sandwiches and fresh bakery products.
Catering Area
In the mornings of several days' duration festivals the smell of coffee will fill the foodhall... Continental and English Breakfast is being served then...
Deciples of vegetarian food will find the "Vegee Stand" on the festival ground. They serve different rice and vegetable dishes. Right next to the Vegee Stand tasty Turkey Kebab is sold.
There are different stands where you can feast on fresh pretzels, pancakes, fruit and sweets ... and there is also a good chance to end up at the Cocktail Bar...!
Because of the big demand we also set up the Health Food stand again. They sell specialities such as "Feuerfleck" (an ultra-thin type of pancake...and you got to love garlic!), Bread Soup, Bean Strudel, Corn-Cob and a variety of bread spreads.
We also added another hut to the "Africa Corner" this year. There you have the choice of either freshly made African fruit juices or home-made African specialities.
