Nothing´s easier than travelling to Wiesen by train. It doesn´t matter whether from the south or the north - Wiesen can be reached easily.
Coming from Vienna: Each with shortly before full hour an InterCity is leaving from Vienna / Südbahnhof (U1 - Südtiroler Platz). The train also has stops in Meidling (U4 /U6 - Philadelphiabrücke) and arrives after only about 30 minutes Wr. Neustadt (Arrival: 29).
Here you have to change for the train directed to Mattersburg - Sopron. You have to get off at the fourth stop: WIESEN-SIGLESS .
From the railway station there is a Shuttle Train, der "Bummelzug" that will take you directly to the Festival Ground. (15 minutes by feet).
Nothing will get in the way of the enjoyment at the Festival Ground anymore...
A possibility of coming back to Vienna after a concert is the EUROLINES-Concert-Shuttle!!!
This bus will depart from Vienna - "Landstrasse / Wien Mitte" one hour before the concerts start and goes back half an hour after concert has ended - directly from the Festival Ground.
